Energy

Energy is the capacity to do work or produce change. It exists in various forms, including kinetic (energy of motion), potential (stored energy due to position), thermal (heat energy), chemical (energy stored in chemical bonds), electrical (energy from the flow of electric charge), and nuclear (energy stored in the nucleus of atoms). Energy can be transformed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed, as stated by the law of conservation of energy. It is a fundamental concept in physics and is essential for all physical processes, driving everything from the movement of objects to the functioning of living organisms and the operation of machines. Energy is measured in joules (J) in the International System of Units (SI). The efficient use and management of energy are critical in addressing global challenges such as climate change and sustainable development.
