Alternative Fuels

Alternative fuels are energy sources that can be used as substitutes for traditional fossil fuels, such as gasoline and diesel. These fuels are often more environmentally friendly and may produce lower emissions of greenhouse gases and pollutants. Examples of alternative fuels include biofuels (such as ethanol and biodiesel), hydrogen, electricity (from batteries or fuel cells), compressed natural gas (CNG), and propane. The use of alternative fuels aims to reduce dependence on non-renewable resources, enhance energy security, and address the environmental impact associated with conventional fuel use. Alternative fuels can be derived from a variety of sources, including plants, waste materials, and even water, contributing to sustainability and reducing the carbon footprint of transportation and energy production.
