Fuel Cell Vehicles

Fuel Cell Vehicles (FCVs) are automobiles that use hydrogen fuel cells to power an electric motor. In these vehicles, hydrogen gas reacts with oxygen from the air in a fuel cell to produce electricity, which then drives the electric motor. The only byproducts of this reaction are water and heat, making FCVs a clean alternative to traditional gasoline or diesel vehicles. Fuel cell technology offers the potential for longer driving ranges and faster refueling times compared to battery electric vehicles. FCVs contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and can be part of a larger strategy for sustainable transportation, as hydrogen can be produced from various renewable sources.
